Rust Preventives

Rust Preventives are applied to a metal surface to form a film that blocks the penetration and contact of moisture, oxygen, and rust factors. If a corrosion current electrode is formed, the electrode is quickly covered to block the current flow and to prevent the surface oxidation of work. There is a solve-type, lubrication-type, petrolatum, finger print removal-type, soluble rust preventives, and preventive wax.
Solvent Type Rust Preventives are rust preventives that protect a metal surface from rust-inducing factors, including gas, dust, and moisture by adding complex rust-preventing additives to the volatile solvent and fixative base. It is applied to a metal surface so that the solvent is volatilized and soft rust preventive film is formed. There are oil, wax, asphalt, and resin films, and the film thickness depends on the type and content.

Oil Type Rust Preventives protect a metal surface with a complex rust preventive additive to control the rust. They have an excellent demulsibility so the water is not demulsified. It can be used as rust preventives and light cutting fluids for the excellent penetration and lubrication.

Water Soluble Rust Preventives are applied when the solvent-type rust preventives are not applicable because of the risk of fire. They prevent the corrosion and the accumulation of white rust of nonferrous and plated parts; contain no volatile solvent; and facilitate cleaning.
